The logo design expresses the confidence of Trinidad and Tobago in the global entertainment industry. Our national colours blend with the graphic elements of the logo, to create the unique mood and identity of Trinidad and Tobago entertainment.
The abbreviation “TT Ent.”
forms part of the logo, contributing to the significance of the emblem; The two “Ts” representative of the twin islands, bear some resemblance to the Twin Towers – a distinct characteristic of T&T. The white circles positioned like flashing lights throughout the “Ts” add a touch of glamour, which is characteristic of the entertainment industry. The steelpan takes center stage as the most recently invented musical instrument in the world – a major achievement for Trinidad and Tobago internationally. “Ent” is in a hand-written script to convey the written aspect of entertainment (e.g. playwriting, poetry, song writing, etc.); “Ent” in a very signature-like manner continues beyond the tail of the “t” taking the form of a face, which is side by side with two other faces. The three faces are diverse in shape and colour, representing the various cultures and ethnic backgrounds that shape who we are and what we produce. Each face shows the mouth opened to various degrees, symbolic of the various forms of oral entertainment; Poetry, Calypso, Soca, Chutney etc. The faces form an abstract illustration of T&T’s flag and cleverly emerge into a complete human form, poised like a dancer. The red figure stretches forward stepping “out of this world” depicting the pioneering creativity that exists among T&T’s artistes.
