Every year WOMEX invites a Jury made up of a new generation of world music passionates. The Jury members - also known as the 7 Samurai, work on the Showcase and Conference selection. In 2010, for the first time, the WOMEX Jury is split up into two fields of responsibility: Two Samurai are primarily in charge of the Conference programming , the other five are asked to shape the Showcase Festival.

This is a good opportunity for our local artistes to submit proposals for the chance to participate in the showcase festival.
